POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Student-centered creative collaborative professionals needed with good verbal and written communication skills, solid industry experience and a commitment to education, interested in joining a progressive team of educators. A minimum of four years related work experience or a bachelor’s degree with two years of related work experience. Trade experience and knowledge of CNC machine operations, machining, lathe operations, turning and drilling machines and grinding machines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary goal of the Advanced Manufacturing Instructor is to enhance the educational experience of students at NWCTC, by bridging the gap between classroom instruction and student-teacher practicum experiences in the content area for each student. Provide quality teacher preparation instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in the field of advanced manufacturing. The program focuses on the general theory and practice of a variety of machining techniques. Duties include program development and modifying curriculum to remain current and effective instruction and supervision of all students. Build professional relationships with local school districts, businesses and industries to establish potential work sites for students. Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required. Willingness to pursue professional development activities to enhance the program as well as self. Possess excellent communication skills. Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the NWCTC Teacher Job Description.
