Bucks County Technical High School (BCTHS) is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader to fill the
position of Administrative Director. The ideal candidate will embrace and promote the BCTHS mission to
prepare all students for careers, post-secondary education, and life-long learning, by providing knowledge
and practical skills through high quality, integrated, standards-driven curriculum, access to current
technologies, work-related experiences, and partnerships within the community.

BCTHS is a comprehensive technical high school serving approximately 1,500 students in grades 9-12.
Established as one of the first career and technical schools in in Pennsylvania in 1958, BCTHS is located in
Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania and serves the Bensalem, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Morrisville
Borough, Neshaminy, and Pennsbury School Districts of Bucks County (www.bcths.com).

Students are exposed to a blend of academic instruction combined with technical theory and applications in
state-of-the-art laboratories, and off-campus work-based experiences. Core curriculum is provided in ways
that creates personal meaning and direct career relevance for the students. BCTHS offers 29 unique state-
approved career programs with many offering students an opportunity to obtain industry aligned certification
and college credits by the time they reach graduation.

Position Requirements

  • Pennsylvania Career and Technical Administrative Director Certification required.
  • Graduate Degree (Master’s degree) in an education related field.
  • Demonstrated record of educational leadership at a Career Technical Center.

Characteristics
BCTHS is seeking an Administrative Director who is relationship focused. The individual will have a strong
knowledge of CTE and be responsible for long-term strategic planning, overseeing daily operations,
delegating tasks to staff and managing personnel. This individual will be visible, engaged, and invested in
the students, employees, parents, and community leaders. The successful candidate will also serve as a
proud representative of BCTHS with the sending districts and within the community. This individual will bring
a wealth of experience to the position. The successful candidate will advocate for Career Technical
Education (CTE) by championing the existing programs, considering new programs and expanding work-
school partnerships. The next Administrative Director will base their tenure in trust, transparency,
approachability, and empathy, having strong, ethical leadership skills that reinforce a culture of proactive,
honest communication. The successful candidate will excel in listening and communicating clearly.
BCTHS is seeking an Administrative Director who understands the complex needs of today’s CTE
programs. This individual will understand the importance of data to evaluate enrollment trends, staffing
needs, and program decisions.

Compensation
A regionally competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience will be offered to the
successful candidate.
