The York County School of Technology is accepting applications for an immediate vacancy for the position of Academy Principal. This is a twelve-month position in a comprehensive technical high school serving approximately 1700 students in 26 technical programs. The successful candidate will lead one of three Technical Academies to foster the mission and core values of YCST in its delivery of an innovative and dynamic learning and professional work environment for students, faculty, and staff. Applicants must hold PA School Principal certification (PK-12 or 7-12) and have demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
Major duties include:
o Overseeing the development and implementation of a sound and effective secondary education experience that is dedicated to student success
o Serving as an instructional leader to ensure effective instruction and rigorous curriculum in both academic courses and technical programs is being delivered with fidelity throughout the school.
o Ensuring technical programs are preparing students for in-demand careers that collaborate and partner with regional employers to ensure graduates capitalize on their state of the art technical knowledge and skill development.
o Effectively supervising, directing, and developing staff
o Coordinating student programs and activities
o Working collaboratively with the other Academy Principals and extended administrative team to provide a cohesive, team-based school environment
