TARGET AUDIENCE: Administrative and Supervisory CTE Personnel

DATES/LOCATIONS: October 30, 2024 – Online Asynchronous

PIL HOURS TO BE AWARDED: 40

DESCRIPTION:
This 40-hour PIL will be delivered through twelve hours of online instruction and 28 hours of job
embedded assignments. There will be 12 one-hour, online narrated PowerPoints followed by a short,
written assignment (reflection) to document that program materials were reviewed. The 12 one- hour,
online narrative PowerPoints are grouped by like-topics into three sections (1) Occupational
Advisory Committees and Local Advisory Committees; (2) Accreditation of Career and Technical
Education Program by a National Accreditation Agency and Student Achievement of Portable Industry
Credentials; (3) Business Partnerships, Foundation Development and Employer Engagement. There will
be three job embedded assignments due after the completion of each section. A cumulative project
will be required upon completion of the program.
Three interactive and optional help sessions will be held during the program to review materials
and assignments. These are optional interventions and are not counted toward hours in this program.
This will allow participants to maintain contact with the instructor and Program/Project
Facilitator to provide the maximum opportunity for participants to answer the essential questions,
gain the knowledge and skills, and fulfill the competencies and job-embedded assignments of the
program.
The PIL will provide content that includes one of the Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership core
standards and one of the corollary standards, one or both of which will be included in each of the
online presentations.

Administrators will gain skill and evidence for components of the Framework for Leadership in
Domains: 1a, 2a, 2b, 2d, 3a, 3b, 4a, and 4c.
